Why a student ambassador?

The post of student ambassador was established in January 2013 as part of the Rector's action plan in the wake of the Penkowa case. The student ambassador at the University of Copenhagen is the first and only one of its kind in Denmark.

Better help for students

The post was established under the Rector’s action in the wake of the academic misconduct case involving the former neuroscientist Milena Penkowa, during which a student was subjected to a false accusation of theft.

The new post is seen as a way of providing help to students who find themselves embroiled in a variety of types of cases at the University.
